Jimmy Murphy Toots and Casper Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 5-2-23 (King Features Syndicate, 1923). One of the great early domestic strips, Toots and Casper blazed a trail for features from Blondie on down to the present day's Luann. This splendid example hangs on Toots's new hobby -- horseback riding -- and her vain intentions toward the sport. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 19.5" x 4.75". Overall age toning. Very Good condition. From A Collection of Great Cartoonists and Illustrators.
