Jim Lee and Carl Potts Punisher War Journal #7 Cover Wolverine Original Art (Marvel, 1989). It's Jungle Frank Castle versus Logan of the Apes on this cover from "Endangered Species", part two of a two-part story. The sales copy for the issue reads "The Punisher and Wolverine... prevent poachers from killing dinosaurs in Africa". The great looking cover is produced in ink (with a bit of white paint) over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15". It is signed by both creators in the image area, and then autographed in the lower margin as well. The date of "Dec. 4, 1986" printed on the side was when the pre-lined Bristol board was printed. There is a personal hand-written note in blue at the bottom that reads "Carl -- Call me before you start -- Jim". The page is lightly tanned, otherwise in Very Good condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
