Jim Lee and Al Milgrom Punisher War Journal #17 Story Page 6 Original Art (Marvel, 1990). Deep in the Mangrove Swamps of Florida, a drug smuggler's cries for mercy fall on deaf ears. The Punisher puts a bullet in his leg then leaves him for the alligators. Jim Lee delivers this gruesome Punisher scene just a year into his career for "Tropical Trouble." Ink over graphite on Marvel Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Signed by Jim Lee in the lower margin with a sketch of the Punisher's head. There is a stripped-in text correction in Panel 3, a hand-lettered text paste-up in Panel 8, tape over a page number stat (8, due to ads, but Story Page 6), and whiteout text correction in Panel 4 and 6. In Excellent condition.
Modern Masterworks from the Jeff Nason Collection.
