Jim Aparo and Mike DeCarlo Detective Comics #639 Complete 22-Page Story "The Idiot, Part Two: The Queen of Hearts" Original Art (DC, 1991). Jim Aparo has a smooth, bold style that brought power and grace to the Caped Crusader, and his art has a place of honor in the hearts of most Bronze Age comic collectors. This full story is a superb example of his work for Detective Comics, along with frequent inker Mike DeCarlo. In this issue Batman and the Queen of Hearts find themselves in a bizarre dimension known as the Idiot Zone, where the Idiot holds absolute power. Ink over graphite on DC Bristol, with an image area of 10" x 15". Page 1 has title, credits, and indicia paste-ups, production punched holes in the sides, and paste-up corrections throughout (some are loose). There is light smudging and handling wear. Includes copy of the comic. In Excellent condition.
