Jean Giraud (Moebius) Blueberry Fort Navajo #1 Planche 17 (Pilote 228, 1964). Jean Giraud (Moebius) Blueberry Fort Navajo #1 Story Page 17 Original Art (Pilote 228, 1964). Fort Navajo is the first album in the Blueberry series by Jean-Michel Charlier (story) and Jean Giraud (art). First published in Pilote before being released as an album by Dargaud in 1965 under the title 'Fort Navajo, an adventure of Lieutenant Blueberry'. Heritage Auctions has already had the pleasure of offering several pages from this first story, never from the first issue. The intrigue of Fort Navajo plunges us into the heart of Apache territory where Blueberry will have to face the Indian hatred of Commander Bascom. This key page features the main protagonists, Cochise, the leader of the Apaches, Blueberry and the Commander Bascom. Admire the mastery of Jean Giraud in the representation of the American West setting, the delicacy of his line, and the inking that has made him a legend. The deliberately shaded, black inking of Commander Bascom's gaze says a lot about what is happening. This is a Museum quality page! Ink on Bristol paper with an image area of 11.5" x 15.5". Composed of two panels assembled on the back by paper tape. Traces of tape residues in the margins. Two pinholes in the top of the board. Signed 'Gir'. In Excellent condition.
