It is estimated that Jay Norwood "Ding" Darling drew 15,000 editorial cartoons highlighting historical trends, thoughts, and politics from 1912 to 1962. He produced several editorial comic strips predicting that the newly liberated female workforce would not willingly or quietly return to the home and hearth when soldiers returned after WWII. This strip was created in ink over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 22" x 28". It is signed in the lower right corner. The board is tanned, with handling and wear. There some minor creases in the lower area. Overall in Very Good condition.
