    Description

Jack Kirby and John Romita Sr. Daredevil #13 Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1966). Here's the ultimate Marvel "dream team" -- Jack "King" Kirby inked by John Romita Sr.! After years of drawing DC romance yarns in the early sixties, John Romita Sr. found his way home to Marvel (having worked at Atlas in the '50s). To help build the Jazzy One's confidence for the necessary transition to superhero titles, Stan Lee had Romita learn the "Marvel method" by asking him to finish Jack Kirby's "breakdowns" for this tale. This yarn, titled "The Secret of Ka-Zar's Origin," could have been subtitled, "Enter John Romita Sr." Co-starring on this page is Maa-Gor, the savage ape man. The image area of this Marvel milestone is 12.5" x 18.5", and the art is in Excellent condition. Signed by John Romita Sr. in its lower border.
