    Description

Jack Kirby and Chic Stone Fantastic Four Annual #2 Story Page 11 Doctor Doom's Origin Original Art (Marvel, 1964). Certainly a key moment in the forming of the Marvel Age of Comics, as readers are finally treated to "The Fantastic Origin of Doctor Doom!" The middle tier is one of the greatest and most important sequences from Marvel's Silver Age to ever come up at auction: big bold panels of Doom donning his famous mask for the very first time, and also his "nuclear-powered flying harness"! An incredible opportunity to own an A+ page from one of Marvel's greatest Silver Age origin tales. "Nuclear-powered flying harness"? ...So it seems that in 1964, Doom has been fighting the Fantastic Four for over two years with an unlicensed nuclear accelerator on his back! Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". There are production oil stains in the side margins and lower right corner (into the last panel). The toned board is in Very Good condition. From the Glenn Danzig Collection.
