Austin's hipster icon, Oat Willie, gets the biographical treatment -- this page dealing with his migration to Austin and a meeting with University of Texas cartoonist Gilbert Shelton. (Willie had originated in a Shelton comic of the 1960s.) Classic Texas-underground material from an inventor of the idiom. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 8" x 11.5". Faint toning. Excellent condition.
