    Description

Jack Davis Tales From The Crypt #40 Cover Original Art (EC, 1954). Here's a sight that would make any skin-diver cold and clammy! This wonderfully horrific cover is from the hand of comic art legend Jack Davis and is a far cry from his humor work on MAD Magazine. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13.5" x 19.5". The logo and all three horror host insets are stat paste-ups. Mr. Davis' signature is original, but was pasted on at the time of creation. Matted and ready to frame, there is slight tanning and the stats are starting to curl slightly. Overall in Very Good condition.

More information about Jack Davis, also known as Davis, Jack, Jack Davis, Jack B. Davis, Jack Burton Davis.
