    Description

    J. H. Williams and Mick Gray Promethea #20 Splash Page 8-9 Original Art (DC, 1999). A trippy double page spread where things are not always what they seem. Promethea might at first seem to be a book that is a take on Wonder Woman, but as the 32 issue series went on, it became apparent that writer Alan Moore was using it as a platform to layout his treatise on the nature of Magic itself. The Promethea on this page is the aging retired predecessor of the current Promethea, seen here in her civilian identity... and on the camel is "Alice"-ster Crowley. Great page produced in ink over graphite on two pieces of Bristol board with a combined image area of 21.25" x 15.75". They had previously been taped together from the backside. Slight tanning and discolored tape, otherwise in Excellent condition.
