Description

Wendy Pini, Michael T. Gilbert, Bo Hampton, and Bret Blevins - Leetah, Elric, and Others Commission Illustration Original Art Group of 4 (c. 1980s). Elf-Mom herself created this lovely image of Leetah, one of the main characters of the famed and long-running Elquest series. It is crafted in ink and marker over graphite on bright white 11" x 17" WaRP Graphics Bristol board. Personalized, signed, and dated 1987 in the lower right. Next is a salacious image of Mandy Charelle Flynn, the ex-prostitute sidekick from The Bozz Chronicles. The pose is a reference to the cover of issue #2, originally illustrated by Bret Blevins as well. The character and series were created by David Michelinie, and this piece is Signed, dated 1988, and personalized to a "David" (although we are unsure if it is the same one). Ink and watercolor over graphite on a landscape piece of 17" x 11" Marvel Bristol board. Next there is a gorgeous Red Sonja by Bo Hampton created in ink and watercolor over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 8" x 10", signed and dated 1984. Lastly, there is a sketch of Elric by Michael T. Gilbert dated 1984. This from the time period when Gilbert was illustrating Elric tales for Pacific, and (shortly thereafter) First Comics. Ink marker over graphite on 8.5" x 11" paper. All are in Excellent condition.
