Description
T. S. Sullivant - Life Magazine Illustration Original Art (Life Publishing, 1922). There's no precedent for the drawings of T. S. Sullivant, the classic animal illustrator who interpreted nature's creatures in his own distinct style. With an intricate, yet bold, line quality, Sullivant illustrates "Hunting the Forerunner of the Christmas," which was published in the November 2, 1922 issue of Life. A typed note on the back from the artist reads: "Several prehistoric men chasing a flock of Oepiornis - in background one of the birds is chasing a man." The image area measures 21.5" x 13.5", and, aside from paper tanning, and light soiling, the condition is Very Good.Auction Info
