Stanley Pitt Science Fiction Illustration Original Art (undated). Australian artist Stanley Pitt was greatly inspired by Alex Raymond's Flash Gordon. From 1945-1948 his own newspaper strip, Silver Starr in the Flameworld, ran in the Sunday Sun. After that, Stanley Pitt produced several cover illustrations and a couple of strips, and has become recognized as a leading illustrator of science-fiction, one of the finest Australian comic artists in the classic tradition. Ink on paper with an overall size of 13" x 17". Aside from three horizontal folds, and small closed tears along the edges (from the fold lines), the art is in Good condition. Signed at the lower right.
