Description

Stanley Mouse "Flying Eyeball" Illustration Original Art (1976). Poster artist Stanley Mouse has adapted his old friend and colleague Rick Griffin's iconic Flying Eyeball image for this beautiful illustration. The Eyeball was famously used by Griffin in his 1968 Jimi Hendrix Experience concert poster and in the pages of Zap Comix. Mouse's version pays tribute to Griffin while putting his own individual stamp on this well-known image. Graphite and watercolor on textured paper, with an approximate image area of 14.75" x 15.5", matted to an overall 25.75" x 32". In Excellent condition. Signed by the artist.
