Description

Skip Williamson Playboy Press Brochure Illustration Original Art (Playboy, 1970). In 1969 Skip Williamson joined the staff of Playboy magazine's book publishing division as a Junior Designer, where he created designs for books as well as promotional materials. This is the artwork for a brochure promoting the current list of Playboy Press publications (like various paperback collections of stories reprinted from the magazine, and the first Little Annie Fanny book). This elaborate, Rube Goldberg-like machine with little nude Femlins drawing was created in 1969, while Skip was also working with Jay Lynch and Robert Crumb on Bijou Funnies, and published in early 1970. The ink on illustration board drawing has an image area of approximately 9.5" x 23.5", the board shows wear along the edges, but the art is in Excellent condition. A copy of the printed brochure is included.
