Description
Simon Bisley Illustrations From the Bible: A Work in Progress "Abraham Preparing to Sacrifice Isaac" Illustration Original Art (1999). The story of Bisley's interest in religious art begins a few years earlier when Alex Acevado, of Alexander Gallery, challenged him to put his considerable skill to work illustrating religious stories. Bisley was so inspired by the challenge that he produced a large body of religious themed images, as well as several Roman and Medieval art pieces. Fortunately, Kevin Eastman felt that the drawings deserved to be seen by the public at large and so had a large selection of them published by Heavy Metal magazine in "Illustrations From the Bible: A Work in Progress."
