Russ Manning and Mike Royer Camelot Coloring Book Cover and Illustrations Original Art Group of 97 (Whitman, 1967). Journey into Camelot and spend time with King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table in this exciting set of coloring page illustrations, created for a 1967 coloring book! Within the pages, you can follow Arthur's story, including his courtship with Guinevere, his friendship with Lancelot, and more! This lot includes the production pieces used to create the cover and 96 pages of original art used for the coloring pages. The cover piece is composed of a photostat on Bristol board, with an acetate overlay containing the title text paste-ups and another thin paper overlay with production notes. This element is toned, with discolored stats and tears/creasing to the thin paper overlays. The 96 coloring page illustrations were rendered in ink over graphite on pieces of Bristol adhered to larger sheets of Bristol (sizes vary slightly due to trimming but average 9.25" x 12"). The title page of the coloring book has discolored stat text paste-ups and an overlay with additional inks that was previously taped to the top of the board but is now loose. The pages are lightly toned, with handling wear, occasional staining/smudging, whiteout touch-ups, occasional tears, and corner creasing/bends. In Very Good condition.Auction Info
