    Description

Robert Crumb The Best Comics of the Decade #1 Back Cover Illustration Self-Portrait Original Art (Fantagraphics, 1990). The inscription really says it all... "R. Crumb '89 - (His favorite character)." The King of the Underground Comix is well-known for his self deprecating art and stories. His "favorite character" gets no slack. This piece was used again a full 20 years later for one of the two covers for issue #38 of the Chicago area publication Stop Smiling Magazine. The inked work has a matted image area of 9.5" x 13.5", and it is glass front framed to 14.25" x 18.25". In Excellent condition.
