    Description

Robert Crumb - Page Full of Doodles Illustration Original Art (1963). A unique and striking piece rendered in an unusual way. The densely packed image area was created in ink over graphite on vellum, with an image area of 9.5" x 23", signed and dated in the lower right side. It is thought that the female featured centrally in the lower section is a woman named Guntra that R. Crumb was enamored with while he worked at American Greetings, before he went to San Francisco. This work has been in the possession of the consigner since 1963, never offered in the market before. There are some white spots of unknown material stuck to the art, and tape on the side margins. Overall in Very Good condition.
