Rick Hoberg Star Wars "Snow Speeder" Licensing/Style Guide Illustration Original Art (Lucas Films, c. 1979). The original art for one of the official Lucas Films merchandise and licensing images, as seen on numerous products from T-shirts to drink cups. Produced during post-production work on the 1980 Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back, this piece was also used as a reference and model sheet by other illustrators who worked in the Star Wars universe. Famous for the battle scene on the icy planet Hoth from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, this craft was actually a modified T-47 Airspeeder. The two man light craft allowed one to fly and operate forward firing weapons, while the second manned a large harpoon cable gun. Created in ink on Bristol board, it has an image area of 11.5" x 8.75". In Excellent condition.
