Richard Thompson - Christmas Party Illustration Original Art (c. 2010s). Looks like a festive Christmas party -- plum pudding and brandy and new toys --except for the fellow in the foreground, alone with his box of dietetic crackers. Thompson (1957-2016) is best known for the offbeat comic strip Cul de Sac, but he left a comparable mark with such ironic, fully painted images as this jewel. Opaque watercolors on fine watercolor stock. Image area, 9" x 12.25". Excellent condition.Auction Info
