Description
Richard Scarry Little Benny Wanted a Pony Illustration Pages 32 and 33 Original Art (Simon and Schuster, 1950). "Little Benny wanted a pony but found a penny. He wanted the pony but not the penny, so he took the penny straight to town to buy himself a frown." Benny wears his "angry frown" mask in this rare two-page illustration by the great Richard Scarry (1919 - 1994). The original book actually included a fold-out page with a cut-out image of the mask! Art is in gouache as a two-page spread on a single piece of illustration board; image area measures approximately 13" x 6.75". Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear.Auction Info
