    Description

Richard F. Outcault - Tige from Buster Brown Illustration Original Art (c. 1900s). "Tige played the andante from "Pagliacci" on the triangle." We knew Tige was talented, as he was the first ever talking dog in comic strips, but we didn't know he had musical talents also! A great little piece of unknown usage, created in ink and watercolor over graphite on the reverse of hotel stationery, with an image area of 5.5" x 8". Lightly toned and in Very Good condition. From the Outcault Family Collection.
