Richard F. Outcault "This is Tige" Buster Brown and Tige Illustration Original Art (Kaufman and Strauss, 1904). This will knock your Buster Browns off! It is a fantastic watercolor painting of that roguish boy and his captivating pup, Tige! But more than that, a recreated version of this very painting was used for the cover of the Buster Brown and Tige Drawing Book in 1906. Produced in watercolor on illustration board with an image area of 7" x 9.5", it is signed by Outcault in the bottom image area and dated in the bottom margin. The lower right corner is broken into the margin, but not the image area, and there is tanning. It is UV glass front framed to 14.5" x 16.5" and in Very Good condition.Auction Info
