    Philippe Druillet Salammbô Illustration (2009). En 1980, Philippe Druillet, un des grands innovateurs de la bande dessinée de science-fiction s'empare de Salammbô, le grand roman de Gustave Flaubert, et transpose les guerres puniques dans le Monde de l'Étoile. Le verbe luxuriant de Flaubert est transcendé par les planches incandescentes de Druillet. Attaché à cet univers majeur de son œuvre, Druillet a réalisé, aux encres de Chine et de couleurs, ce portrait (38,5 x 50 cm) d'un des personnages de la saga. Bon état.

In 1980, Philippe Druillet, one of the great innovators of science-fiction comics, took Salammbô, Gustave Flaubert's great novel, and transposed the Punic Wars into outer space. Flaubert's luxuriant writing is transcended by Druillet's incandescent pages. From his attachment to this major universe in his oeuvre, Druillet created this portrait of one of the characters in the saga. Ink and watercolor on paper, with an image area of 15" x 18.5". In Excellent condition.
