Description

Paul Chadwick Concrete Commission Illustration Original Art (1987). A vintage image of Concrete and Maureen, although fans know it's really more "wishful thinking" on Concrete's part than reality. Notably, 1987 was a big year for Concrete. Chadwick's critically acclaimed featured first appeared only a year earlier in 1986's Dark Horse Presents #1, and was then in almost every subsequent issue of the title up to this point. He spun out into his own title in April of 1987. This lovely image was created in ink over graphite on 10.5" x 13.25 paper (possibly cut from a sketchbook). There are minor stains and tape residue on the edges. In Very Good condition.
