    Description

Norman Mingo MAD Magazine #185 Original Art (EC Comics, 1976). Mingo, the dean of MAD's cover artists, delivers a fine miniature of mascot Alfred E. Neuman, in Colonial garb in keeping with the US Bicentennial. The spontaneous, uncluttered full-figure portrait served as a letters-page highlight. Accompanied by a copy of the magazine. Ink over graphite on textured watercolor stock, with Rubylith shading film. Image area, 3.75" x 6.75". Excellent condition.
