Norm Saunders Mars Attacks! Trading Card #18 "A Soldier Fights Back" Painting Original Art (Topps, 1962). "ACK-ACK! ZRRRAKT!" For those who don't speak Martian, that's one of the original Mars Attacks! aliens letting us know that this incredible piece features an Earth soldier making a final, brave -- but futile -- attempt to take down one of the invaders, even after running out of bullets. Unfortunately, an attack from behind by another Martian soldier ends his mission before the blow can be delivered. This trailblazing piece is rendered in gouache on board with an approximate image size of 5.25" x 3.75". The art was once mounted to a black board, with remnants of it still adhered to the reverse. Light handling wear. In Excellent condition.From the Howard Lowery Collection.
