Norm Breyfogle Marvel Fanfare #29 Captain America Back Cover Illustration Original Art (Marvel, 1986). Captain America stands as a beacon of hope, surrounded by America's children and bathed in the light of a glowing American flag. He reminds us that liberty, justice, and equality are the utmost tenets of the democracy we've fought so hard to establish and must continue to strive toward. Ink, screentone, and white paint highlights over graphite on Bristol Board with an image area of 10" x 15". A piece is missing from the left edge, tape along nearly the complete right side of the board, marginal editorial notes, whiteout corrections, moderate ink fading, and one deep crease within the image area in the lower left of the board. Signed and dated by the artist on an original paste-up addition in the bottom left and personalized "Merry Christmas, Tony! - Norm" in the top margin.
