Description

Nick Pitarra "Double Einstein, Double Impact" CBLDF Print Illustration Original Art (CBLDF, 2014). Twin Geniuses. One Universe Isn't Big Enough. In this striking movie poster mock-up for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF), Albert Einstein and his alternate-reality counterpart, Albrecht Einstein, stand back-to-back, exuding both intellect and danger. One grips a gun, his expression dead serious -- because in The Manhattan Projects, science isn't just about discovery... it's about survival. Co-created by Jonathan Hickman and Nick Pitarra, the acclaimed comic series explores a warped, secret history of science, where Einstein's dual existence is a recurring enigma. This high-impact artwork was not only turned into a limited-edition print (included in this lot), but the original piece was donated to the CBLDF to champion free speech and artistic freedom. It later hit the auction block at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2014, fueling the fight to protect the First Amendment rights of the comics community. Ink over printed blue line and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 10.75" x 16.75". Signed by Pitarra in the bottom right corner. In Excellent condition.
