Description
Neal Adams Studio (attributed) "The Famous Clark Bar Superhero Sweepstakes" Contest Advertising Illustration Original Art (DC, 1978). It's no coincidence that these specific five characters were featured in this ad! It was a great way to get the "Super Friends" in an ad without actually calling them that (licensing issues, most probably). "You Could Win A Trip to Gotham" said the double-page ad that included this illustration. The art is thought to have been created by Neal Adams' Continuity Associates advertising firm, which utilized many professionals from the comic industry, including Dick Giordano, Joe Rubinstein, Bob Layton, and many more! Produced in graphite and ink on an irregularly cut section of 16.75" x 14" paper. The image ran as a two-page spread in Green Lantern/Green Arrow #107 and other comics dated August 1978. There is a crease in the upper right marginal corner. Lightly toned and in Very Good condition.More information about Neal Adams. See also: Adams, Neal Artist.
