This oversized illustration, featured as a poster insert in Issue #5 of the British edition of The Incredible Hulk, showcases the Silver Surfer soaring through the cosmos in a breathtaking, out-of-the-page composition. Framing the spectacle, Iron Man and Madame Masque share a warm, tender moment, adding a poignant contrast to the Surfer's cosmic journey. A striking example of Mick Austin's artistry, this piece seamlessly blends superhero grandeur with a distinct British comic sensibility. Rendered in ink over graphite on illustration board with a large image area of 14.5" x 19.5". Noticeable odor and spot staining in the margins, whiteout corrections, marginal editorial notes, and handling/corner wear. Signed by Austin in the lower right corner of image area.
