    Description

Michael Lark Batman: Nine Lives Character Design Original Art Group of 3 (DC, 2002). Set in the 1940's, this Elseworlds tale should appeal to fans of TV's Gotham series as it puts a more realistic face on many of Batman's cadre of villains. Michael Lark's somber art is perfect for this noir style story. Here are three pages of character studies he executed that feature Selina Kyle (Catwoman), Harvey Dent (Two-Face), The Joker, The Penguin, The Riddler, Clayface, Mr. Freeze, and Killer Croc. These designs are dated 2000, although the book was released in 2002, showing that Lark was working well in advance. They are ink on 8.5" x 11" Bristol board. These are regular DC Bristol boards, cut in half. The backside of two of these show a rough design that may be from Legend of the Hawkman (2000). Very minor handling and edge stains; otherwise, in Excellent condition.
