Description

Michael H. Price Bloody Visions Vol. 3 Manson Family and H.H. Holmes Killer Portraits Original Art Group of 3 (Cremo Studios & Shel-Tone Publ., 1990). Price's original Bloody Visions, a controversial boxed set of collector cards, is a gallery of notorious criminal portraits. The prolific 19th-century serial killer Holmes (alias Herman W. Mudgett) provided the backhanded inspiration for Erik Larson's 2003 bestseller, The Devil in the White City. The additional portraits depict Charles Manson stooges Tex Watson, here, and Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme (a would-be presidential assassin) and Sandra Good, there. Two pieces are rendered in ink on Bristol board. The Holmes portrait consists of drybrush-and-crayon stippling on textured watercolor stock. Image areas, 9" x 13.5". Faint adhesive staining. Excellent condition.
