Description

Kay Phillips (signing as Kippy) The Elephant's Dilemma Illustration Original Art Group of 36 (John Martin's House, 1946). Playful pachyderms frolic in the water and on land, in this set of 34 very cute artboards by noted children's book artist Kippy, aka Kay Phillips (My Kitten Book). The art is delicately painted with watercolor edge-to-edge on illustration board; cover art (which includes the inner front cover art as well) is on board measuring approximately 13.25" x 8.5" and back cover art is on board measuring 9.5" x 8.25", while interior page artboards measure 6.5" x 8.25". Two badly-damaged printed copies of the book are included. Overall art condition is Good, with minor toning, staining, and handling wear.
