Description

Jon Bogdanove - Golden Age Superman Statue Concept Illustrations Original Art Group of 2 (DC Direct/Dave Grossman Creations, 2000). Jon Bogdanove captures the classic squinty-eyed Clark Kent in the style of Joe Shuster, tearing open his shirt to reveal the "S" beneath in these powerful concept illustrations that served as the foundation for the limited-edition resin statue released in 2000. Ink over printed blue lines on Bristol boards with image areas of 15.25" x 10" and 8.25" x 9.75". Signed by Bogdanove and in Excellent condition. NOTE: only the inks here are original art. This is ink over printed lines, not ink over graphite.
Proceeds from the sale of this lot will benefit the Ed Asner Family Center, which offers a host of programs, classes, and therapy dedicated to promoting self-confidence in differently abled individuals.
