Description
John Gee "Washday at the Piggly Home" Illustration Original Art (c. 1940s-50s). Mother Piggly gets some assistance on wash day from her two children, in this original illustration by John Gee (1895 - 1977). Mr. Gee was a regular contributor to the long-running Highlights for Children magazine, and this piece may have been done with that publication in mind. The art is in ink on Bristol board, with an image size of 11.5" x 12.75", including John Gee's signature in the lower margin.
