Joe Simon - Captain America Specialty Illustration Original Art (undated). Joe Simon recreates the iconic 1939 image that introduced the world to Captain America, capturing the Sentinel of Liberty standing tall with his unmistakable triangular shield of the Golden Age. Created in ink, marker, and watercolor over graphite on illustration board with an approximate image area of 6" x 13.5". There are some minor scuffs on the white illustration board, minor staining, smudging/soiling, small piece of tape to the upper right of Cap's head, and minor corner creasing.
