Joe Giella - The Flash Illustration Original Art (DC, c. 1990s). Artist Joe Giella's comics work goes all the way back to 1940s Fawcett (Captain Marvel) and Timely (Captain America). Joe was primarily an inker, and he often inked Carmine Infantino's work on The Flash, beginning with the first issue (#105 -- that's Joe's inking on the cover, as well as story pages). Here's a great re-creation of the art from the first page of Showcase #4, which introduced the revamped Flash and kick-started the Silver Age of Comics. The art is in ink over graphite on Bristol board measuring 11" x 17.25", with an image size (including the hand-drawn logo) of 8.5" x 13". Joe signed his name in the lower right corner. Excellent condition.
