Description
Joe Giella - Superman Illustration Original Art (undated). Long-time DC inker Joe Giella steps out on his own with this huge portrait of the Man of Steel flying over the Daily Planet building. The art is in ink and watercolor on paper or thin board, done in two sections and affixed to a backing board measuring approximately 20" x 24.75", plus a white mat measuring approximately 23" x 28". There is a minor bit of waviness, and the colors have very slightly faded when compared to the areas hidden by a mat, but overall the art appears to be in Excellent condition. This is a remarkably powerful piece that should appeal to fans of the Silver Age Superman.Auction Info
