Description
Jim Lee and Alex Garner Gen 13 #1 Centerfold Poster Illustration Original Art (Image, 1994). An epic image of the new teen superhero team that couldn't be contained on just one artboard! Co-creator Jim Lee gives a little extra to this pin-up, utilizing the elongated art as a pullout centerfold poster for the landmark first issue of Gen 13! The poster was not included in the newsstand edition, giving an extra bonus to comic store shoppers. The art later fronted Wizard Presents: Gen 13 #1/2, a mail away comic through Wizard magazine. Ink over graphite on two separate, overlapping Image Bristol boards with a combined image area of 10" x 22.5". Slight toning, whiteout corrections/touch-ups, with light smudging/handling wear. Signed by the art team in the lower image area and in Excellent condition.From the Personal Collection of Jim Lee.
