Description
Jean-Claude Mézières Valérian et Laureline Cockpit View Illustration Original Art (Dargaud, c.1990-91). Valérian and Laureline converse in the cockpit of their ship, already on course for new space-time adventures. Masterfully created by one of the absolute giants of science fiction, this large illustration is rendered in ink and watercolor on illustration paper measuring 16.5" x 11.75". It has been mounted on a 19.75" x 13.75 blue Bristol board. The central part of the artwork has been partially cut out around the characters, revealing the inner purple background painted on the blue board. There is handling and corner wear, with light spot staining along the margins. Glue residue staining has caused some darker areas along the edges of the blue board. Signed with initials.
