Description

Jacques Boivin Melody "Pasties" Sticker Illustration Original Art (Kitchen Sink Press, 1988). In 1985, nude dancer Sylvie Rancourt created Melody as a cartoon alter-ego to tell semi-autobiographical stories. In 1988 she teamed with artist Jacques Boivin for a new series from Kitchen Sink Press. This silhouette image was printed on stickers. Created in ink over graphite on bright white Bristol board with a 8.5" diameter image area. The logo and some of the background images/symbols are paste-ups. The art is in Excellent condition, and it comes with seven of the printed "pasties".
From the Denis Kitchen Collection.
