    Description

Jack Kirby Thundarr the Barbarian Animation Storyboard Original Art Group of 2 (Ruby-Spears, 1980). These storyboard/concept art illustrations from the fan-favorite cartoon Thundarr the Barbarian drip with that Kirby magic! The first is from episode #3, "Mindok the Mind Menace" and features him crashing his spaceship into a Miami hotel as local people scatter in fear. The second piece is from episode #7, "The Brotherhood of Night" and features a group of were-cats racing through a castle hallway. Be sure to check out that fantastic Kirby engine in the bottom right of the panel, complete with "Kirby krackle" exhaust... sweet stuff. Each is produced in pure graphite on 12 field 3-peghole animation paper with an image area of 11.5" x 9.5". The top edges have been lightly burned, just to the image area in the top right corners. Overall these are slightly tanned and otherwise in Very Good condition.
