    Description

Jack Kirby - "The Red Skull" Pencil Illustration Original Art (c. 1970s). You might never find a better Red Skull image than this one! It's from the "Roz Kirby's Black Book" sketchbook of the 1970s: when Kirby was in between moments at the drawing table, his wife Roz would hand him a sketchbook and tell him, "Kirby, draw something." The sketchbook was published as Jack Kirby's Heroes & Villains (Pure Imagination, 1987) though in an edition of only 1,000 copies, making it hard to find these days. With all due respect to the men who inked Kirby, there's no substitute for the power of his original pencils. Produced in graphite on paper with an image area of 8" x 10". Slight toning. In Excellent condition.
