Description

Jack Kirby - Psionic Heroine Pitch-Piece Illustration Original Art (Ruby-Spears, c. 1980s). In 1979, Jack Kirby left Marvel Comics for the second time, and took up a career in animation with Hanna-Barbera, and through professional relationships, with Ruby-Spears Productions as well. Kirby was primarily doing character design and show idea pitches for Ruby-Spears. This is one of the pitch pieces that went unproduced. This wonderfully rendered and deeply detailed piece show the unnamed heroine as a spooky figure with possible magic connections.
Created in raw, pure, powerful pencil on a 30" x 20" Crescent illustration board. The board is toned, with much graphite smudging. In Very Good condition.
