Description
Jack Kirby and Alfredo Alcala (attributed) Thor Animation Cartoon Frost Giants Concept Illustration Original Art (Ruby-Spears, c. 1980s). The son of Odin is known for fighting Frost Giants, so Kirby was sure to include some in the pitch for this animated series. It's obvious that Kirby hoped to recapture some of the magic as he did with his 1978 Fantastic Four revamp at Hanna-Barbera. The front giant stands a massive 13" on this piece, filling the image area on the artwork created in ink over graphite on 11" x 14" Bristol board.
