Jack Davis Humbug #1 Unpublished Page 29 Illustration Original Art (Humbug Publications, 1957). This is one of the original "...And You Know Who Gets Killed" gags commissioned by Harvey Kurtzman. Although the Jack Davis ink and grey tone gouache is gorgeous work, Kurtzman discovered it would not reproduce will on cheap newsprint. So this piece went unpublished and Davis recreated the entire gag in pure ink line work for publication. This work is in ink and grey tone gouache with white paint highlights on illustration board with an image area of 14" x 8.5". Toned and in Very Good condition.More information about Jack Davis.
