Description
Irwin Hasen - Golden Age Green Lantern Risque Illustration Original Art (2005). This very adult look at Alan Scott was created by one of his original Golden Age artists, Irwin Hasen. Hasen would later come to prominence again as the co-creator and artist for the newspaper comic strip Dondi. This piece was created as a gift to Hasen's agent, Dan Makara. Makara is known to some fans for the ornate découpage framed he creates for comic book artwork. The illustration feature Doiby Dickles and Harlequin. It's worth noting that Harlequin was in love with the Green Lantern, and in her secret identity of Molly Mayne eventually married him. This work was created in ink and watercolor on 11.5" x 9" Bristol board. The board was then affixed to a slightly larger illustration board. and coated with a fixative layer. It is lightly toned, and the illustration board seems to have been removed from a backing matting board at some point. In Very Good condition.More information about Irwin Hasen.
